From Craft Beer to Cold War

After a very hot and humid day strolling through the famous squares of Savannah, and soaking up its somewhat bloody history, I popped into a bar to enjoy the delights of the local craft beer scene. After three weeks working from our office in New York (and having completely failed to transform into a Brooklyn hipster during that time), I was taking some time out in Georgia and getting a taste of that famous Southern hospitality. Awaiting my beer, I caught up with the very latest news on the smart phone. My mood immediately soured as I contemplated the latest news emerging from Syria - a massive refugee crisis, civil war and chemical weapons, the global political posturing. It was definitely time to change the subject - I just didn't expect a discussion that would provide me with a whole new perspective on environmental limits and systems thinking. read more
